The MARC van is filled with picture story books, fictional novels, non-fiction books and resources for students and teachers to borrow. The van visits many rural schools around the Gippsland Lakes area on a two week rotation. Our students have the opportunity to go to the van and borrow library books once a fortnight. The borrowing of books is complimented by a lesson undertaken by the experienced MARC Van teacher Mrs Bette Severs. This resource assists our children to be exposed to wider variety of literature and gives them a broader selection of books which otherwise wouldn't be on offer.

The Mobile Area Resource Centre (MARC Van) is a small mobile library that visits our school every second week.
Swan Reach Primary School is very fortunate to have this great service, which complements and extends our school library (located in one of the main school buildings).
